Nov.10 Lewis Hamilton has echoed his boss Ron Dennis' defence that he is not arrogant. Among the criticisms of the 2008 world champion that emerge from the paddock and the wider public, the 23-year-old's sometimes over-zealous confidence is arguably most often repeated.

In every grade of racing that he has participated in, Hamilton has left behind him a legacy of people who dislike him intensely. That extends all around the world.

Folk in England have no idea how much Hamilton is despised in other countries. He has earned this dislike by crying foul to stewards over the slightest thing, using aggressive driving that should have been reprimanded, and generally being everything that a 'good sport' is not.

Put into context the universal dislike of the UKs new hero, because he comes carrying bad baggage.
